Services de Référence et Information
The Reference Desk is located in the Main Library in Room A-042. Reference librarians are available to assist with research and reference questions from 8:30 until 5:00, Monday through Friday.

The library is open to external visitors on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 until 4:30.

The Reference Desk is the place to ask if you need help:

• Conducting research
• Locating a book
• Finding articles in scholarly journals
• Creating Subject Alerts
• Using the library catalog
• Using electronic databases

Presentations/Seminars: Reference Librarians provide guidance and instruction on the use of library resources in the form of pressentations/seminars. These presentations can be tailored to suit the subject focus of divisions and departments. They may be arranged by requesting an appointment via telephone or e-mail, or by contacting one of the librarians directly.

Reference Blog: Have a look at our blog for the latest news in the library and a list of frequently asked reference questions. Add our feed to your news reader. Although anyone may find useful information here, the intended audience of this blog is FAO staff.

Alertes
Subject Alerts provide recent information from scientific and scholarly sources, helping you to stay up-to-date with your professional subjects. Appropriate profiles can be run against major bibliographic databases (CAB Abstracts, Agricola, Econlit, etc) or against information portals like ScienceDirect and ProQuest. Results are received via email periodically and contain bibliographic records with abstract and full-text links where available.

Prêts Inter-bibliothèque
Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request items not held in our collection from another library.

Journal articles are frequently obtained from other libraries at no cost. However, we must first obtain an Oracle budget code before we are able to complete a request for books obtained through ILL.

A budget code will also be requested for rush delivery of ILL journal articles.

Service de Tables de Matières
FAO staff can sign up to receive e-mail delivery of Table of Contents (TOCs) of the latest issues of selected journals. Many contain full-text links. Subscribe through the Tables of Contents Service or contact fao-library-alerts@fao.org for more information.

Livraison par courrier (CD-ROM, copie): US$10/livraison
Copies additionnelles CD-ROM: US$15 par CD
